Faulty Product & Baffling Customer Service: My Cautionary Tale 😤


I want to share my terrible online shopping experience as a warning to others. I was so excited when I found a great deal on frames I loved, but that feeling didn't last. My conclusion is simple: "I received my glasses and got a nice frame at a discount. However when I received them, one of the lenses pops out by itself when I go to clean it. I called customer service and the person helping me told me they cannot do anything about it besides start a return request and issue a refund. I clearly stated that I love the frame and don't want to return it, I want my glasses to function as normal because they arrived faulty." This baffling refusal to stand by their product is why I had to contact them, hoping for a reasonable solution.

Customer: Hello, I have an issue with my recent order. The frames are great, but one of the lenses keeps popping out when I clean it. It seems like it was cut incorrectly.

CS Rep: I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your new glasses. I can certainly help you start a return for a full refund.

Customer: I don't want a refund. I like the frames. I just want a pair of glasses that isn't broken. Can you replace the lens or send a new, functional pair?

CS Rep: I understand, but our policy for a faulty item is to process a return and refund. We cannot offer a repair or a direct exchange for just the lens.

Customer: So you sent me a defective product, and your only solution is for me to return it and lose the good deal I got on the frames? You can't just fix your own mistake?

CS Rep: I do apologize for the inconvenience, but the only option available is to start the return process online.

The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
